We are recruiting a **50% FTE Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) Co-Director** in the Department of Child, Family, and Population Health Nursing. The CPM Co-Director will take ownership of research-related activities within a project exploring integrated midwifery education. This role involves leading the design, execution, and evaluation of research initiatives, fostering engagement with the CPM community, and contributing to strategic decision-making. The CPM Co-Director will collaborate closely with the CNM Co-Director and the research team to ensure the project’s success. **DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** Leadership in Research and Community Engagement (30%) + Develop and implement a comprehensive engagement strategy to integrate the perspectives of the CPM community into the project. + Lead the design and refinement of research questions and methodologies to capture the unique experiences of CPMs through their educational experiences. + Plan, oversee, and facilitate listening sessions, focus groups, and consortia, ensuring robust data collection. + Serve as the primary liaison between the research team and the U.S. CPM community, fostering trust and collaboration.Strategic Management of Research Activities (30%) + Take ownership of the logistics and execution of research activities, including scheduling, participant recruitment, and data collection. + Ensure the effective organization and analysis of data from interviews, listening sessions, and focus groups. + Lead the planning and execution of consortia in years 1 and 3, including agenda development and stakeholder coordination. + Develop protocols for data management and ensure compliance with research ethics and standards.Collaboration and Decision-Making (20%) + Actively participate in regular research team meetings, providing strategic input and updates on program progress. + Collaborate with faculty and team members to align research activities with project goals and objectives. + Use data-driven insights to guide decision-making and refine research approaches.Program Oversight and Reporting (20%) + Monitor and manage project milestones, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful program execution. + Prepare reports and presentations summarizing research findings and community engagement outcomes. + Track and manage project resources, including financial and human resources, to align with program objectives. **MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS** + A Bachelor’s degree in midwifery, nursing, public health, gender and women’s studies, social work, or related field AND 3 years of work experience in Midwifery, maternal/child health, doula community engagement or related work. + Expertise in midwifery profession, including CPM/LM licensure. **Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.** **ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS** + Knowledge base in reproductive healthcare, particularly around pregnancy/birth/postpartum periods. + Highly professional, excellent time management, self-direction, and outstanding organization skills. + Knowledge of, and appreciation for, community-based participatory principles. + Proficient in using personal computer (i.e. MS Office, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint). + Be available evenings and weekends occasionally as needed. **DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS** + Experience in applying and operationalizing a Reproductive Justice framework. + Demonstrated success in building and maintaining partnerships with diverse communities. **CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT** + Occasional national travel and flexible evening and weekend availability are required. + The position involves a mix of in-person and hybrid work. + Three-year contract from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2027. + Estimated 20 hours per week throughout the contract period. + The specific schedule will be arranged with the research team. **Application Process:** The application process may include completion of a variety of online assessments to obtain additional information that will be used in the evaluation process.
