Certified Quality Team Member
The Nightshift Certified Quality Team Member will perform the necessary routine procedures to monitor the quality of in-process and packaged products, as well as incoming additives (ingredients) for in-process pasta. The Certified Quality Team Member will also perform the required procedures related to non-compliance issues in these areas. This position will interact with all plant personnel and must have good oral and written skills to communicate deviations from standards and corrective actions.

Responsibilities:

Conduct routine sampling and auditing of processing and packaging lines (as minimally outlined by QA Supervisor).Perform visual inspection and analytical testing of in-process and packaged products (including lab samples for retention storage and finished products in warehouse storage).Record information in IQS, Weever, and SAP applications. Incoming primary packaging and ingredient inspections. Monitor product or ingredient quality according to AIPC and/or customer specification.  Notify appropriate personnel and accurately document any deviation from quality standards or non-compliance issues.Segregate and hold non-compliance finished products and ingredients according to procedure.Responsible for ensuring product meets safe, legal and quality requirements.Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety Programs.Ability to calibrate quality instrumentation.Participate in root cause analysis and CAPA investigations. 

Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills

High School Diploma or Equivalent.Minimum 1 year experience in a manufacturing facility.Strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills.Basic math to determine percentages and calculate test results.Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety issues.Must be able to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.Savvy in Microsoft applications.Ability to understand specifications and recognize product quality issues.Ability to effectively communicate deviations from quality standards to appropriate personnel.Competency in process auditing and inspection.Familiarity with SPC applications.Strong Internal Auditing skillset.Adapt in a lean-manufacturing environment.
