Roxborough Memorial Hospital is a 131-bed community hospital. The hospital has been serving the medical and health care needs of the Roxborough, Manayunk, East Falls and northwest section of Philadelphia communities for more than a century, having first opened its doors in 1890. Roxborough Memorial Hospitals School of Nursing has been educating nurses since 1898. Responsibilities Provide counseling and education to patients regarding surgical and anesthetic optionsPerform thorough anesthetic focused assessmentDetermine safest patient focused plan for anesthesia, analgesia, multi modal pain management, post operative recovery and discharge to homeEnsure patient understanding and obtain anesthetic specific informed consentOrder and administer preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative anesthetic medications, including appropriate antiemetics, hemodynamic agents and controlled substancesInitiate anesthesia by securing the airway (if appropriate), maintain appropriate anesthetic depth, and conduct a controlled emergence and extubation (if appropriate) for given anestheticComplete post operative assessmentParticipate and conduct anesthesia related educational programs Qualifications
CRNA’s will have a primary site and be expected to rotate to three local suburban locationsConduct anesthetics focusing on general surgical, plastic, urologic, and gynecologic casesNo neurosurgery, obstetrics, or pediatric surgeryCollegial environment with MD’s and CRNA’sAbility to work independently is requiredCRNA’s take 2nd call with limited call backSign-On BonusCME Allowannce Graduation from accredited nurse anesthesia training program completing requirements for MSN or DNPCurrent certification / recertification as Certified Registered Nurse AnesthetistValid Pennsylvania RN License.Current BLS / ACLS / PALSMust possess excellent airway skills and venous and arterial access capabilities or willing to learn with our expertsMinimum of one-year previous experience however, exceptional new graduates will be considere
