Work schedule is for 24 hours week, however, this pharmacy technician may work additional hours in any given week dependant on needs in the pharmacy. This position is for a part time pharmacy technician. It will require work during the week and on weekends. POSITION SUMMARY: The Certified Pharmacy Technician I is responsible for assisting Pharmacists in processing provider medication orders utilizing prescribed procedures under the supervision of a Pharmacist. Work involves standing, lifting and walking continually while in the process of performing duties. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School/GED Licenses/Certifications: Pharmacy Technician in Illinois or Michigan (dependent on location of employment). Pharmacy Technician Certification validated by PTCB or National Healthcareer certification (ExCPT). PHTC2 - Pharmacy Tech Certification (tracked by HR) Experience: At least 18 years of age Other skills/knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: 1 year pharmacy. Demonstrates knowledge of pharmaceutical and medical terminology.
