HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Hospital is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to join our Central Sterile team.

Certified and Registered Central Service Technician qualifications are preferred, but not a requirement.

This role will offer an opportunity to perform a variety of sterile processing functions such as assuring proper decontamination, quality assurance, sterilization of equipment and distribution of sterile surgical instrumentation to areas throughout the affiliate and outside service contracts to ensure quality patient care and safety and identifies and remedies equipment failures and hazards posing potential risks to patients.

Education

High School Diploma or GED is required.

Experience

1 year of central supply experience is preferred.

Knowledge of nursing procedures aseptic technique medical terminology and infection control is preferred.

Certifications Licenses and Registrations

WI-Certified and Registered Central Service Technician is preferred.

IL-Certified and Registered Central Service Technician is required within one year of employment.

Pay Range:

$17.50 - $24.50

A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.
