Certified Surgical Tech
Shift: Days, FT
$10,000 FOR STUDENT LOAN REPAYMENTS

As a Surgical Tech at Newport Medical Center, you’ll play a vital role in doing what you do best- providing quality care to our patients. Requirements:

Current BLS from AHA or ARC Must have completed a *CAAHEP-accredited Surgical Technology program and have successfully completed the surgical technologist LCC-ST certifying exam and hold current national Surgical Technologist Certification.A minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required as recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

About the Job:

Prepares and maintains medical equipment for surgical procedures. Follows hospital regulations and industry procedures to tend to patient during pre-operation procedures. Performs pre-operation preparations to the patient's skin, body and medical equipment. May be required to transport patient to and from the operating room.Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks.The Surgical Technician serves as a part of the operating room team, preparing supplies and instruments for surgical procedures, observes proper standards of care, including aseptic technique and performs as a scrub technician as appropriate for each surgical procedure.
