Certified Surgical Technician – Vascular Specialty

Part Time

24 hours weekly

The Surgical Technologist serves as a primary scrub person or assistant for operative procedures.

Job Duties

Assist the Registered Nurse with circulating duties as needed to carry out the implementation of appropriate interventions.Scrubbing, setting up cases, passing instruments, and assisting the physician.Works with circulator, orderlies, and other room staff to perform post-case cleaning duties.Cut suture material as directed by the surgeon and apply electrocautery to clamps on bleeders under the direct supervision of the surgeon.

Requirements

Graduate from a Surgical Technologist program or have comparable military training.Certification is required.
