Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians in providing care to animals, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and ensuring excellent client service. This position offers a great opportunity for individuals looking to grow their careers in veterinary medicine.

Responsibilities:

Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians during examinations and procedures. Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and organization. Restrain animals during exams and procedures as needed. Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by veterinarians. Monitor and record vital signs and behaviors of animals. Assist with laboratory procedures, including collecting samples and conducting tests. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation. Provide compassionate care to animals and communicate effectively with clients. Assist with client education on pet care and wellness. Support the team in general clinic operations and maintenance.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; experience in a veterinary setting preferred. Knowledge of animal care and behavior. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Basic computer skills and experience with veterinary software is a plus. Ability to lift and handle animals of various sizes.
