The Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) is responsible for Inspection of all welded parts for quality assurance and applicable AWS codes and customer specifications. The CWI will assist quality and Weld engineers with weld issues and perform weld qualifications to applicable requirements, and assist operators with Weld issues. CWI does all new hire training for welders on weld defect identification. The CWI will drive to customer locations to assist in QA issues, requiring the CWI to carry and sort welded production parts.

Follow safety and environmental proceduresCome to work everyday, on time as scheduledProficient communication skills Accurately read and use quality tools to ensure quality partsAssist all customers in the quality processAssist production employees in the quality processTraveling to customer locationsMaintain welder qualifications Develop and perform PQR and WPS testing to meet customer specifications Participate in APQP processBlueprint and fixture reviews Conducts problem solving technique to eliminate bad product and to ensure good quality of production partsQualifications:
High School Diploma or GEDCurrent AWS , CWI, or SCWIAbility to read and interpret blueprintsAbility to use quality inspection equipmentProficient in problem solving techniqueProficient in basic math and computer skills Able to pass eye exam QualificationsWork Environment: The work environment is a metal fabrication machine shop.
