Job Summary

Provides Governance, Oversight and Support of the Salem and Hope Creek site Maintenance, Work Management, Outage Services and Projects departments ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient activities consistent with PSEG Nuclear and Corporation goals. They will actively participate in industry working groups to identify Maintenance issues, trends and best practices and will ensure these learnings are shared through the Maintenance Peer Team.  As the peer team chair, they will ensure industry best practices are implemented at PSEG and that the stations execute established programs, policies and standards consistently across the fleet.  Additionally, this individual supports the transfer of knowledge and lessons learned between stations and coordination of supplemental resources to support specific station and fleet efforts. This role is responsible for establishing and reinforcing standards and expectations for nuclear maintenance personnel and other interfacing personnel to ensuring an error free and professional work environment.

Job Responsibilities Responsible for the establishment of fleet-wide best practices and development of the PSEG Nuclear fleet standardized policies, programs, processes, and Department Description. Ensures consistency between the sites through the implementation of the standardized policies, programs, processes, and best practices. Provides oversight of functional area policies, programs, and processes utilizing assessments, performance indicators, and peer groups to understand the health of policies, programs, and processes. Facilitates and manages functional area improvement initiatives, projects, and resource sharing opportunities. Garners functional area health information from available sources internal and external to PSEG for use in the development of initiatives. Ensures effective fleet-wide actions are identified, issued, and implemented for issues with fleet-wide applicability through the Corrective Action Program (CAP) and the Excellence Plan, as applicable. Manages external relationships with Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO), regulatory agencies, utility peers, industry groups, and other advisory groups. Facilitates the securing of support required, from site and industry experts, to provide timely and technically sound solutions for significant emergent issues. Issues Areas of Concern (AOC), Elevation, or Escalation when an identified issue is not being adequately addressed by a line organization or site. Develops a functional area scorecard

 

Job Specific Qualifications

Required Skills:

BS Degree Engineering or other related science degree  7-10 year of Nuclear power plant experience Working knowledge and understanding of Maintenance, Work Management, Outage Management, and/or Projects Programs, processes Must meet Nuclear’s requirements for unescorted plant access
