Your role and responsibilities

As the ABB Way Finance Transformation Program evolves to the new Run model, the Demand lead will be responsible for managing the CFIN demand. He/she will enable ramp up multiple initiatives, ensuring resources, manage dependencies, work out feasible timelines together with project managers, Head of CFIN and other global stakeholders. In this role, you will guide the CFIN team to implement solutions in line with system design. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring that all deliveries are compliant, efficient, and adhere to S4 Hana design and architecture standards.The work model for the role is: #LI-OnsiteThis role is contributing to the Finance Services business Finance Process Data Systems division in Bangalore, India.You will be mainly accountable for:-\tDemand Prioritization and Management: Develop and implement a streamlined process to manage the CFIN demand funnel, ensuring efficient prioritization and deployment of initiatives. Align all demand requests with the strategic objectives of the Finance, Process Data, and Systems (FPDS) team. Oversee the demand management tool for the CFIN platform, ensuring full project lifecycle tracking within the tool. Lead workshops and plan projects based on resource availability and capacity. Take end-to-end responsibility for delivering demand within the CFIN S/4HANA system. Ensure adherence to project methodologies and execution practices, ensuring projects stay on track according to planned schedules and procedures. Organize, monitor, and control activities to meet gate requirements.-\tCollaboration and Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary PMO contact for local project stakeholders, serving as the escalation point for gate execution and scheduling issues. Maintain clear and effective communication with stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines. Manage stakeholder relationships across dependent projects and coordinate structured communications to ensure timely delivery. Work with external vendors to ensure successful solution delivery based on design documentation and project requirements. Collaborate with Global Business Process Owners and Country Leads to drive automation and system improvements within the CFIN environment.-\tReporting and Performance Insights: Generate demand forecasting and performance reports for senior management, providing valuable insights into trends, challenges, and opportunities. Monitor demand and project performance, offering recommendations for improvement and resource adjustments as needed.-\tResource Allocation and Capacity Planning: Manage resource allocation for all CFIN demand within the demand tool, ensuring effective distribution of resources. Balance demand with available capacity, proactively identifying resource shortages or surpluses and recommending corrective actions.-\tAutomation and Process Improvement: Continuously refine the demand management process, focusing on automation and enhancing efficiency and accuracy in forecasting and resource allocation.-\tBudgeting and Risk Management: Partner with the FPDS team to manage the CFIN demand budget, ensuring projects are delivered within agreed timelines and budgets. Develop and maintain risk management plans for CFIN projects, working closely with stakeholders to establish contingency strategies. Regularly review project risks and escalate critical issues to senior management, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal disruption to project progress.

Qualifications for the role

-\tEducation: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Finance, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications in SAP S/4HANA, SAP CFIN, or IT architecture would be advantageous.-\tProject Management Professional (PMP) or similar project management certification is highly desirable. At least 7-10 years of experience in project management, particularly in managing large, complex IT or finance transformation projects.-\tProven track record of delivering projects within scope, time, and budget, especially in SAP/CFIN or similar enterprise environments. Experience in managing demand and resource allocation for global teams, particularly in high-pressure, fast-paced environments. Familiarity with demand forecasting and performance metrics.-\tStrong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams. Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to coordinate between different stakeholders, including business leaders, technical teams, and external partners.-\tA strong focus on continuous improvement and automation, with a passion for driving innovation within enterprise systems.-\tExperience in managing relationships with external vendors and third-party service providers to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
