Your role and responsibilities

As the CFIN Functional Lead Architect, you will oversee the design, maintenance, facilitation, and development of business processes related to the CFIN system. In this role, you will lead a team of functional architects to create robust S4 Hana solutions. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that CFIN business processes are compliant, efficient, and aligned with S4 Hana design and architecture standards.The work model for the role is: #LI-OnsiteThis role is contributing to the Finance Services business Finance Process Data Systems division in Bangalore, India.You will be mainly accountable for:-\tEnsure the CFIN system aligns with business requirements and maintains operational efficiency. Take ownership of all design and documentation activities related to the CFIN system.-\tServe as the design authority for all CFIN-related topics within the Operational Design Authority (ODA) meeting. Define and maintain the overall design of the CFIN system, including its integrations with other applications.-\tManage the end-to-end process of CFIN solution development, from design through to business delivery. -\tLead a team of functional architects in the creation of robust, compliant S4 Hana solutions. Support the solution team in developing and refining designs within the CFIN landscape.-\tCollaborate closely with the delivery team and the broader FPDS team to ensure solutions meet S4 Hana design and architecture standards. Engage with SAP on design-related topics to ensure alignment with best practices and platform capabilities.-\tWork with Global Business Process Owners and Country Leads to drive continuous automation and system improvements within the CFIN environment. Provide training and foster knowledge sharing to enhance design expertise within the CFIN team.-\tPartner with external vendors to ensure successful delivery of solutions based on design documentation. Maintain and update the target solution architecture, ensuring it reflects the current roadmap and documented changes.

Qualifications for the role

-\tEducation: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications in SAP S/4HANA, SAP CFIN, or IT architecture would be advantageous.-\tAt least 15 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex enterprise systems, with a focus on SAP solutions, preferably SAP S/4HANA and Central Finance (CFIN).-\tProven experience in leading system architecture teams and managing the full lifecycle of large-scale technology implementations, from design through to delivery.-\tStrong understanding of SAP S/4HANA, Central Finance (CFIN), and related SAP modules (e.g., Record to report, Central Payment, etc.). In-depth knowledge of system integrations, particularly between SAP and non-SAP applications, and experience with cloud-based solutions.-\tSolid track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams, including business process owners, IT teams, and external vendors, to deliver business-aligned technology solutions. Expertise in SAP S/4HANA architecture, CFIN integration, and SAP Fiori.-\tStrong understanding of system design, data flows, and integration methodologies. Experience with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies. Proficiency in using tools such as Signavio.-\tDemonstrated ability to lead and mentor functional & technical teams, guiding architects and developers through solution design and delivery. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, technical teams, and senior leadership.-\tStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex, cross-functional challenges. A strong focus on continuous improvement and automation, with a passion for driving innovation within enterprise systems. Experience in managing relationships with external vendors and third-party service providers to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.
