As a member of the COE (Center of Excellence) for CFin, or Central Finance (our new global reporting platform), you will act as a regional functional expert owning and further developing the expertise for your area and ensure strong knowledge management. You will manage related tasks for supporting our business units with critical functional knowledge and provide ongoing business support (period close, reconciliations, error handling, data quality, continuous improvement projects, etc). Engage cross-functionally with others within FinTech as well as Digital Technologies, MGSF (Mars Global Services Finance) and the business units to ensure the integrity of our data across Central Finance.
What are we looking for?
5+ years of business experience in Finance
5+ years of data and SAP R3 experience
Profound SAP Central Finance experience, via the CFin deployment project a plus
Solid understanding of Mars’ data model and Mars’ business model
Functional finance skills in the space of our SAP and reporting systems
Strong knowledge of our business processes and SAP templates (Atlas, Trinity, Fusion…)
Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally and manage relationships with business stakeholders
Ability to communicate in an open and honest way, to quickly build trust and respect
Needs to be a self-motivated, high-energy individual who can easily function in a performance-driven and ambiguous environment
What would be your key responsibilities?
Own error handling for functional or complex mapping issues – analyzing problems and finding root causes, to deliver globally standardized solutions
Identify and escalate issues to respective teams and prepare effective mitigation options
Perform risk management to minimize jeopardizing our period close processes and deadlines
Engage and collaborate with subject matter experts in MGSF and business units on issue resolution, enhancement requests, knowledge transfer
Co-own standard & complex mapping across all finance data elements (chart of accounts, cost centers, profit centers, etc.)
Partner in the process of master data creation/changes to support the needs of the business and apply data reclasses/corrections as needed to uphold the integrity of the data in Central Finance
Improve processes and increase efficiency to the CFin production system by leading regional CIP (continuous improvement) projects including design, development, documentation, testing and training
Develop, deliver and own specific training materials on Central Finance operational and reconciliation processes
Lead the CFin COE workstream on company code deployments from inception to go-live on One Source of Truth (OSOT)
Perform CFin regional testing for periodic changes, system fixes, enhancements and upgrades
Report and escalate remediation opportunities to improve processes and lessen data quality issues in our current environment and for future deployments
Support changes coming out of project implementations in a business-as-usual capacity

The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, if eligible, including variable pay & general allowances (depending on the position and employee’s work schedule). Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable policies and plans then in effect, and depending on the position offered and the employee’s work schedule (i.e., part-time schedule), eligible employees are automatically enrolled in a 401(k) plan, as well as participate in Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employee’s eligible dependents, and may be eligible to take up to 18 weeks of paid parental leave. Employees will also receive the following paid-time off (which may be prorated based on start date and the employee’s work schedule): 120 hours of vacation per year, paid sick time for eligible Associates of 100% pay continuation for a maximum of 40 hours per calendar year, and 12 paid holidays throughout the calendar year that include both fixed and flexible holidays.
