Description
We are in search of a CFO to strengthen our team in the Property Management industry. Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, this role entails overseeing all accounting and finance operations for our properties and corporate offices. The CFO will also be tasked with the responsibility of structuring our team and enhancing its efficiency.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee all accounting and finance operations for our properties and corporate offices
• Establish and maintain a robust structure within the team to ensure efficiency
• Manage treasury operations, budgeting processes, and financial oversight
• Responsible for financial reporting and tax oversight
• Utilize ERP systems like RealPage, AvidXchange, Concur for efficient management
• Evaluate team performance and implement necessary improvements
• Handle residential property management, ideally with a large number of units and properties
• Lead the team and present financial reports and strategies effectively
• Perform cash flow analysis and other accounting functions as required
• Manage the budget processes and ensure financial stability.
Requirements • At least 10 years of experience in a senior finance role within the Real Estate Property/Facilities Management industry
• Demonstrable proficiency in overseeing accounting functions, including AP/AR, payroll, and general ledger
• Proven experience in managing comprehensive budget processes, including preparation, monitoring, and analysis
• Expertise in cash flow analysis and financial forecasting to support strategic decision-making
• Familiarity with RealPage or similar real estate management software
• Exceptional leadership skills with experience in managing a diverse team
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information in an understandable manner
• Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Detail oriented accreditation such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects concurrently
• High level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality
• Advanced knowledge of financial law and risk management practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, and other financial planning software.
