Description
We are looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team on a contract basis. This role is an exciting opportunity to lead the financial strategy for a non-profit organization, ensuring efficient fund accounting and accurate reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis and expertise in tools like Blackbaud and Microsoft Excel.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the organization’s financial operations, including fund accounting and reporting in alignment with non-profit standards.
• Develop and present detailed financial analyses and reports to stakeholders, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
• Utilize Blackbaud and Raiser's Edge NXT platforms to manage financial data and streamline processes.
• Collaborate with leadership to create and execute financial strategies that support organizational goals.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices in non-profit financial management.
• Provide detailed insights into budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Train and mentor staff on financial systems and processes to enhance organizational efficiency.
• Conduct regular audits and reviews to maintain the integrity of financial records.
• Leverage advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting tasks.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization while maintaining the quality of services provided
Requirements • Proven experience in financial analysis and fund accounting within a non-profit setting.
• Proficiency with Blackbaud and Raiser's Edge NXT platforms.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and practices.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including data manipulation and analysis.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills for delivering financial insights.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards for non-profits.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
