Description We are on the hunt for a skilled Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team in Glendale, California. As part of our organization, you will play an integral role in shaping financial strategies, overseeing budgeting processes, and managing organizational cash flow. This role also involves refining our financial and accounting systems, and fostering a supportive, inclusive culture within the finance team. Responsibilities: • Contribute to the development and implementation of our organization's strategy • Develop, maintain, and utilize financial models for accurate revenue forecasting and business planning • Oversee the management of a diverse portfolio of grants in collaboration with the Director of Grants Management & Compliance • Lead the annual budgeting process, conduct month-end close procedures, and manage ongoing forecasting • Manage the organization's cash flow and communicate financial requirements and implications of business decisions to leadership and the Board of Directors • Oversee the approval and processing of revenue, expenses, the general ledger, account maintenance, data entry, and financial record-keeping • Review, manage, and implement the automation of financial and accounting processes and systems • Implement tools and processes for financial reporting, cost accounting, and other departmental work management reports and accounts • Foster a work environment that supports the health, motivation, inclusivity, and equity of all staff • Collaborate closely with the Executive team on union relations and collective bargaining agreement matters Requirements • Applicant must possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in a CFO or similar high-level financial leadership role. • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is a key requirement for this position. • The candidate should be well-versed in utilizing Business Systems. • The role demands comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions. • Prior experience in Auditing is a significant advantage. • The candidate should be proficient in Budget Processes. • The ability to perform Cash Flow Analysis is a crucial skill for this role. • The candidate should have a strong background in Strategic Planning. • Proficiency in Budgeting and Forecasting is essential. • Experience in Grant Management is highly desirable. • The candidate must possess skills in Financial Modeling. • The ability to perform accurate Revenue Forecast and Cash Flow Forecasts is a key requirement for this role.
