About the Role

The role will support the Associate Director, Management Reporting & Planning by providing dedicated support to the CFO Office. This includes effectively and efficiently managing the company-wide Project Approval Governance, supporting the execution of Group Finance strategies cascaded from the Group Office Finance, designing, managing, and leading initiatives to uplift Finance’s digital and data capabilities, promoting a desired culture within the finance community, and coordinating various cross-department.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Support Associate Director, Finance Management & Planning to provide the following services:-

Project Approval Governance (40%)

Coordinate with project teams and functions to provide input and feedback on the functional feasibility, commerciality, and financial aspects of business cases, ensuring compliance with company policies and obtaining appropriate stakeholder approvalsLiaise with various project stakeholders to ensure that the financial outcomes of projects align with business and Finance strategies, with messages consistent in strategic planningPartner with project leads to support planning, approval, and execution, particularly in accessing various technical Finance functions, enforcing governance, and providing guidance on the project approval protocolMonitor the financials of in-flight projects, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure results are delivered as expectedProvide regular reports to management on the project pipeline

CFO Office Management Support (50%)

Leading Strategic Initiatives to Uplift Finance’s Digital and Data Capabilities, Enhance Insights Generation and Accelerate

Partner with different Finance functional teams to assess current finance processes and pinpoint areas for digital and data improvementsLead data-driven initiatives to conduct data analytics studies, design and implement digital tools and data analytics solutions to streamline operations, and provide training and support to finance team members on new digital tools and techniques. This includes initiatives such as Finance Datamart implementation, dashboarding, and projection modelling to generate new insights for informed decision-makingAlign various requirements from stakeholders within and outside Finance to design and implement automated dashboards, reports, and forecasting models to streamline the management reporting process and information delivery

Operationalise and Execute the Finance Strategy Cascaded from Group Office Finance

Work as part of the Working Committee to drive the execution of cascaded Finance strategies and activities from Group Office FinanceDesign and run local Finance talent development programs and events that align with the strategic objectives set by the Group Office Finance

Other Responsibilities (10%)

Perform other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by the supervisor to meet business and operational needs, including but not limited to cross-department coordination, annual compliance exercises, risk and financial assessments of ad hoc requests, market intelligence, etc.

Minimum Job Requirements:

University graduate in Business, Accounting, Actuarial Science, Information Systems, or Data Science with 15+ years of relevant experienceMembership in a recognised professional accounting or actuarial body is preferred but not mandatoryStrong knowledge and interest in the insurance businessStrong data mindset with problem-solving and analytical skillsExtensive knowledge and hands-on experience in management information systems and business intelligence tools such as Microsoft Power BIExperience in project management is preferredCandidates with less relevant experience may be considered for the role of Principal (Senior Manager level), commensurate with their qualifications and experience
