About the opportunity 

CFO Advisory Services teams leverage their extensive industry and technical expertise and bring together global, multi-disciplinary teams to help our clients navigate the complex finance issues facing their business.

 

The CFO Advisory team specialises in supporting our clients in implementing finance transformation.

 

Within EY, CFO Advisory operates across a global network and in Ireland has a dedicated team focusing on Financial Services clients

 

Your Key Responsibilities

Within CFO Advisory Finance Transformation, you'll work as part of a high-performing team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping financial services organisations solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. On a typical day, you will have the opportunity to:

 

As a Manager Consultant you will increase how finance works cross functionally as part of an extended ecosystem to enable new business models and value creation Manage a portfolio of clients in multiple industries Supervise consultants ensuring the high quality of the deliverables and be operational when needed Improve data and analytics capabilities to transform forecasting, risk management, and understanding of value drivers Strategic decision on what will be sourced, recruited, retained, and/or developed to transform finance talent into a sustainable workforce Make significant changes to the finance function operating model and skill set utilizing a best in class model of internal and partner resources/ assets Reduce finance function costs through new technologies, automation, and acting as overall custodian of cash and profit

Skills And Attributes For Success

You have between 5 and 8 years of relevant professional experience with Reporting, Controlling, Risk, Audit, Finance Consulting or Digital Solutions related to Finance; You have excellent communication skills, managing the relationships with internal and external stakeholders; You have an entrepreneurial mindset and are willingness to contribute to business growth, expecting you to be a strong team player, with good project management skills, confident and good communicator; You are fluent in English and French. Additional language skills such as German/Luxembourgish would be considered as an asset; You have a master’s degree in Business, Management, Finance or Economics.

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

Large company work experience; Management experience, people management and multitasking; Knowledge of Lux GAAP, IFRS, US GAAP; Proficient with Microsoft office tools (PPT, Excel, Word, Visual Basic); Worked with SAP and other ERP.
