CH Working Cleaning Supervisor

Contract: Permanent
Type: Part Time
Shift Pattern: 4-7pm for 4 days then 3-7pm on 1 day 
Hours: 16 hours per week
Pay: £13.21 per hour
Location: Essex County Council - Chelmsford - County Hall

We are looking for an experienced working cleaning supervisor to work with and to manage a cleaning team, including development of staff and maintain excellent service standards for the delivery of routine planned and periodic cleaning for a Mitie customer. 

 

Main Duties:

You will be responsible for the delivery of routine planned and periodic cleaning. You will ensure that the cleaning staff understand and work to task schedules while following the correct Health & Safety procedures by providing technical training as and when required., such as conducting and completing a set number of cleaning cupboard audits per month. You will monitor stock levels, and carry out toolbox talks and training with your team, to deliver high-quality cleaning standards across all your areas. You will distribute uniforms, monitor standard of cleanliness and the use of materials and order stocks as necessary. You will deal with any issues efficiently and in a professional manner, referring to line manager where appropriate. You will also assist with organising site holiday/sickness cover, and submit hazard reports for your team by communicating in an engaging way. 

 

Person Specification:

The ideal candidate will have previous cleaning supervisory experience. They will have good communication skills, be reliable and hardworking with a professional attitude and they will be able to work to a schedule on their own initiative. They will fully understand the colour coding/ COSHH & Risk Assessments and have the IT ability to use an app to conduct cleaning audits. The candidate will also understand the organisations goals and objectives and bring these to life in theirs/their teams' daily activities. They can demonstrate forward thinking/planning  with a positive and can-do attitude and can flex their style to meet the needs of the business as well as effectively planning and managing own workloads, however, understands when to ask for support when needed. This candidate will also have good decision-making skills, will represent Mitie and the client always in a professional, courteous, and confident manner, and be a team player with the ability to lead by example through operational excellence, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact at all levels.
