NetImpact Strategies is seeking an onsite Change/Configuration Manager to join our team, in support of a federal client, in Bethesda, MD.
The Change/Configuration Manager is a results-driven professional with extensive experience in overseeing change and configuration management processes. He should be adept at ensuring smooth transitions by implementing ITIL-aligned frameworks while minimizing disruptions to operations. With expertise in configuration identification, version control, and maintaining configuration baselines, he should ensure compliance and traceability. He should have a proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, manage risks, and maintain a robust change governance framework. Additionally, he should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on optimizing workflows and driving continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement change management processes aligned with ITIL best practices to minimize disruption and ensure smooth transitions. Manage and maintain the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) to ensure accurate and up-to-date records of IT assets and configurations. Evaluate and approve/reject change requests through Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings and stakeholder reviews. Assess risks and impacts of proposed changes on IT systems, infrastructure, and business operations. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, such as ISO 27001, SOX, and GDPR. Establish and monitor configuration baselines and maintain version control for all systems and assets. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate changes and resolve configuration conflicts effectively. Generate reports on change success rates, failures, and configuration compliance to track process effectiveness. Continuously review and improve change and configuration management processes to enhance efficiency and reduce errors. Provide training and guidance to teams on change and configuration management policies, tools, and best practices. QualificationsRequired
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in change and configuration management, IT service management, or a similar role.Preferred
ITIL v3 or v4 Certification Certified Configuration Manager (CCM) CMII Certification (Certified Configuration Management Practitioner) Previous Federal Consulting Experience#LI-Onsite
