ONxpress Transportation Partners has been selected by Infrastructure Ontario and Metrolinx to lead the charge in modernizing rail service across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Areas with the On-Corridor Works project. You are someone who:

Will be responsile for overseeing and managing changes, modifications, and variations within the project. Manages the process of change control, ensuring all changes, modifications, and variations are identified, assessed, documented, and implemented in line with project requirements. Assesses, implements, and tracks all changes to ensure alignment with contractual obligations, project objectives, and budgetary constraints. Provides guidance to team members on the contractual implications of changes, ensuring compliance with relevant contract provisions. Collaborates with engineering, legal, and commercial teams to develop strategies for effective change management and risk mitigation. Monitors and reports on the financial and schedule impact of changes, working closely with project controls teams, including those utilizing tools such as P6 and Early Warning systems. Engages with internal and external stakeholders to negotiate and agree on change proposals, ensuring alignment with project objectives. Provides expertise on infrastructure projects, with a preference for experience in the rail sector.

 

You bring:

A minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant field (legal, engineering, commercial, quantity surveying or economics). Demonstrated experience in managing changes, modifications, and variations in mega-infrastructure projects. Preferred experience in rail projects. Knowledge of NEC contracts and Early Warnings concepts is advantageous. Familiarity with project control tools such as P6 and budget monitoring systems is an asset. Strong analytical and negotiation skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively. Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills, relationship management and leadership skills.     Proficiency on MS Office suite.  Self-motivation with a ‘can-do’ spirit. Ability to work accurately under pressure. Adaptability to flexible work schedule when required to meet deadlines. Ability to cooperate and work collaboratively with others as a team.

This position is with ONxpress Civils (“CJV” aka the Design & Construction team); the project segment responsible for the modernization and modification of the key area network, including countless innovations in the way the regional rail infrastructure is built.
