The Business Technology Group (BTG) provides resources for several technology focused practices, including fully dedicated business sponsorship and ownership of strategic enterprise programs and projects, product management resources focused on delivering scalable, enterprise solutions, a Lean practice, and an Organizational Change Management practice dedicated to empowering our business partners to manage, facilitate, and positively experience change through engagement, training & coaching. 

 

Great American Insurance Group is seeking a Change Management Consultant to join our Business Technology Group. This individual will work a hybrid schedule out of the Cincinnati office.

This is an exciting opportunity to build out the structure and function of a Change Management practice with the resources of a large enterprise, and entrepreneurial spirit of a small team. In this role, you will lead change initiatives to meet business objectives with human-centric outcomes. You will focus on the people side of change, including changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organization structures. 

Responsibilities:  

Lead change management activities for projects, programs, or initiatives using Prosci methodology. 

Develop and implement tailored change strategies aligned with business goals and project objectives. 

Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness and identify key stakeholders. 

Create change management strategies and risk mitigation tactics. 

Develop deliverables for communication, training, sponsorship and resistance mitigation plans. 

Support communication efforts with design, development, and delivery. 

Support the customization, facilitation and delivery of training programs and workshops.  

Consult and coach individuals and project teams. 

Engage senior leaders and support managers through transitions. 

Coordinate with specialists in communications, marketing, project management, and legal. 

Integrate change management activities into project plans. 

Champion change management at the organizational level. 

Perform additional change management and process improvement activities as required.  

 

Qualifications: 

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent business experience is required. 

Minimum 2 years of Organizational Change Management experience required. 5+years preferred. 

Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts a plus. 

Change Practitioner Certification required. Prosci Certification is strongly preferred. 

Prior Property and Casualty Insurance experience is a plus. 

Proven experience in change management principles, methodologies, and application.  

Exceptional communication, interpersonal and presentation skills. 

Ability to work independently and collaboratively with and through others. 

Strong relationship-building and influencing skills.  

Organized problem solving and strategic planning abilities. 

Familiarity with project management approaches and lifecycle. 

Willingness to travel 10% of the time.
