This is a unique and high-impact opportunity to shape the future of change management across our New Zealand and Pacific (NZPAC) region. As our first dedicated Change Manager, using our QBE change framework, you’ll embed sound change management across the organisation. We’ve laid a strong foundation through successful delivery of key initiatives, and now we’re ready for the next chapter: one where change isn’t just managed—it’s understood, embraced, and woven into the how we work.
In this newly created 12-month fixed-term role, you will have the opportunity to build something from the ground up, influence at the highest levels, and create lasting impact—this is your chance to lead meaningful change that goes beyond any single project. You’ll also have the opportunity to be the change appointed lead on business projects.
Your new roleAs our Change Manager, you’ll be responsible for establishing and embedding change management capability across the NZPAC region, delivering outcomes on key strategic projects and helping our people lead change well. Your role will include:
Implementing fit-for-purpose change management strategies, frameworks, and toolsDeveloping clear and practical change deliverables e.g., impact assessments, communication and training plans, readiness checklistsWorking across major initiatives to assess change impact, support adoption, and prepare teamsCoaching and equipping senior leaders and teams with change tools and knowledgeEmbedding change thinking into business-as-usual processes to grow internal capabilityEnsuring change-related risks and issues are proactively identified and addressedSupporting agile and waterfall projects, tailoring your approach where neededPromoting a culture of ownership and accountability in how change is led and adoptedThis is a hands-on, sole charge role, ideal for someone who’s has previously set up frameworks, experience with influencing stakeholders, and embedding change at an organisational level, not just project by project.

We’re looking for a seasoned Change Manager who’s led large-scale organisational change and is comfortable establishing change frameworks from the ground up. You’ll bring:
Proven experience implementing enterprise-level change management strategies, tools, and frameworksStrong communication skills, with a track record of writing effective communications and training plansA background delivering change in complex, multi-year or cross-functional environmentsDemonstrated ability to coach and influence senior leaders, helping them adopt and champion changeThe ability to apply change principles to the change process itself—this role is about teaching others how to lead change, not doing it all yourselfComfort working in a sole charge capacity and driving change capability uplift across an organisationYou’ll be the right fit if you’re strategic, practical, collaborative—and passionate about enabling people to lead change successfully.
