As a Channel Development Advisor, you will develop techniques and strategies to reach customers in the indirect channel and driving the agenda of network expansion. Your primary role will be exploring new medium, techniques, and strategies to reach our consumers, through a sustainable network set up as well as ensuring the profitable growth of our distributor partners. More specifically, your role will include:
Onboards, maintains, and expands relationships with indirect channel partners in B2B.Explore and investigate new medium to reach our consumers throughout the countryInvest in distributors to ensure they grow into a sustainable and profitable business that becomes a long-standing partnership with ShellInvestigate and implement new ways in distributor operation to maximize margins and reach business goalsInvestigate and implement automation in distributor sales operation to increase efficiency of investment in distributorsManages potential channel conflict with other firm sales channels by fostering excellent communication internally and externally, and through strict adherence to channel rules of engagement.Leads solution development efforts that best address end-user needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company and partner personnel.Ensures partner compliance with partner agreements.Drives adoption of company programs among distributor partners.As the role involves working alongside Shell business partners, your excellent people skill & commercial skills will make the difference. You will also need a comprehensive knowledge of a distributor operation to ensure that they can achieve our business ambition, whilst making the partnerships profitable for both Shell & the distributors.
Furthermore, you will have:
A minimum bachelor’s degree in managementA comprehensive knowledge in Territory & Coverage ManagementA comprehensive knowledge in distributor operation (ranging from sales operation, logistics and HR)A comprehensive knowledge in distributors financialsA proven track record in distributor management and sales managementAn excellent oral and written presentation skillsComfortable with numbers and possess solid analytical capability
