Expected salary range of $95,400 to $106,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
**PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION**
The Channel Manager will report to the Manager. They will be responsible for the development and execution of sales campaigns, resource planning, and partner relationships that optimize sales effectiveness and profitability for the sales channel. The individual will cultivate strategic partnerships with our sales vendors and agents to develop a best-in-class sales experience for customers while maximizing product relationships and achieving our acquisition and renewal sales goals. In addition to managing the day-to-day sales activity with our vendor partners, the Channel Manager will also be responsible for coordinating cross functional support internally with operations, marketing, pricing, legal, regulatory, etc. They will leverage campaign metrics, reporting, as well as feedback from partners, agents, and customers to gain insights and enable data-driven decisions for continuous improvement and innovation related to product positioning, product development, marketing activity, etc.
**PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES**
+ Develop, implement and refine sales playbook that provides clear direction on product positioning and value proposition for optimizing sales conversion rates and maximizing product relationships with our customers through upsell and cross sell efforts
+ Deliver high quality enrollments and best in class customer experience.
+ Develop, track and evaluate quality and compliance measures implementing and improving upon best practices to ensure vendor partners align with our values, ethics and compliance culture
+ Manage and prepare all relevant channel analytics including but not limited to, CTA, cost per kWh, variable and fixed expense related to the channel
+ Monitor cloud-based systems and prepare sales scripts, as well as coach sales vendors and agents.
+ Provide operational support to Channel Managers for Commercial Field Sales, including resolving customer issues, troubleshooting system concerns, investigating negative margin deals, facilitating transfer requests, and escalating partner report findings. Participate in partner office hours and vendor team meetings as needed.
+ Provide tactical sales support relative to lead lists, price matrices, price plans and sales scripts
+ Travel up to 75% of the time to support sales efforts in active markets, conducting in-person field visits and ride-alongs with sales agents, including cold calling small to medium-sized commercial prospects.
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
+ Bachelor's degree, in lieu of degree 9-years experience
+ 5-years experience in energy (electricity and/or natural gas) markets with emphasis in sales or sales support
+ Ability to formulate, manage, and execute sales strategies, vison and planning
+ Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects through strong project management and planning skills
+ Demonstrated outstanding communication skills and adept at speaking to customers and channel partners
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications (Excel a must)
+ Ability to work independently / self-starter
+ Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**
+ Experience with both electricity and natural gas
+ Experience with SalesForce, Genesis, REPs, QuoteWizard
