Job Description:
The Channel Merchandise Planner- Digital utilizes a series of data to analyze business trends, review performance of item level sales, and determine order quantities to maximize sales, margin, and inventory for their respective channel. They work collaboratively with their Merchant partners to execute the vision of the line plan, and to ensure we purchase the right amount of merchandise to support the business.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Supply Chain or a related fieldExperience in Retail Replenishment and Allocation, Planning or other relevant functionAdvanced skills in MS Office applications, particularly MS ExcelExperience with SAP and Warehouse Management Systems and AssetPreferred Qualifications
Experience in a Retail environmentPlanning tool/system experience (Relex preferred)Knowledge of overall supply chain/logistics best practices; includes international and domestic logistic movement experienceKey Responsibilities
Responsible for all US Digital item level forecasting. Support Merchants to develop ladder plans, size of prize estimations and initial order quantities to drive purchasing decisions for all new products.Generate recommended replenishment quantities based on historical selling, seasonal trends, category level merchandising strategies and inventory/in-stock objectives.Support the digital channel by analyzing merchandise assortments and promotional activity and replenishing inventory to meet the ever-evolving consumer demands and market trends.Effectively manage in-season replenishment needs to ensure flawless availability for the US Digital Channel. Submit purchase orders for items to proactively manage channel inventory levels, business needs and vendor constraints.Analyze the in-season business in order to make recommendations to maximize sales, realize margin, and control inventory. Share findings with the category / channel teams during weekly & periodic business reviews. Analyze product performance and partner with Digital Marketing and S&F teams to appropriately support any planned promotional activity for the site while also recommending next actions surrounding replenishment, markdowns, and length of product life on the site.Forecast all US digital bulk chocolate projected sales volumes and provide to the Print Shop team so that they are able to plan replenishment accordingly in order to support their production plans. Manage the monthly US Digital Channel OTB process, adjusting top line department level NSV$ figures based on trend, and report out in the various supporting forums (ie OTB review/DMR etc.).In partnership with the Vendor Liaison & Supply teams, provide visibility to inbound inventory issues, and work collaboratively with the Digital and Merchant teams to offset potential sales risks.Create and distribute daily/weekly/monthly reporting as well as seasonal recaps as required.Challenge and seek to improve existing Forecasting, Replenishment and Allocation processes to continually improve our processes.What can you expect from Mars?
