**_What Commercial Expansion: Channel Partnership contributes to Cardinal Health_**
Channel Partnership is responsible for establishing and providing enhanced relationship management for distribution services performed for manufacturers and other product, service, and technology providers. This role specifically will own strategic expansion of portfolio and channel opportunities both DTC and B2B along the care continuum, focused in the cardiometabolic health/health and wellness therapy area and other new categories of business in line with market opportunity.
Business Development & Commercial Expansion is responsible for cross functional collaboration that helps to deliver sales, profitability and inventory productivity goals by capitalizing on industry trends in designated categories. This role manages and optimizes new supplier relationships and product portfolio to drive financial results, increase market share, and exceed customer expectations.
**_Job Summary_**
Channel Partner Executive – Health & Wellness responsibility will include interpretation of market dynamics and healthcare company strategies to identify and close new business opportunities providing distribution services for manufacturers and suppliers across the healthcare industry. Opportunities may touch many forms of the healthcare continuum, as relevant for consumers receiving products they need to manage their health, and may include products covered under DMEPOS payment system, pharmacy benefits, cash pay, and/or other home health payment models. Direct responsibility will also include ownership of the design, implementation and management of partnerships offering exceptional customer service in line with customers' strategies and considering optimal supply chain, operational efficiencies, distribution agreement terms and profitable revenue generation to support the total P&L of each partnership and contribution to the Cardinal Health at-Home Solutions business. A passion for the intersection of consumerism, technology and healthcare will be a critical success factor for this executive. Given the depth of this role, a strategic, sales oriented, and executional mindset are critical to success.
**_Responsibilities_**
+ Leverages market dynamics to develops strategic relationships to establish offering and deliver on financial objectives within the cardiometabolic health area. Applies expert knowledge of product and of market to ensure Cardinal Health gains and maintain competitive advantages in these categories
+ Own prospecting, maintaining, and growing partnerships and business in newly expanded categories, with specific focus on health and wellness/metabolic health
+ Seeks out and fosters key relationships and favorable agreements within the new product category, applying strong interpersonal skills, strategic mindset, financial and business acumen. Regularly interacts with suppliers to drive growth and monitors vendor performance
+ Collaborates with cross functional stakeholders including Sourcing, Finance, Pricing, Marketing, Legal, Planning, Inventory Management, Sales and Operations to gain internal alignment and gather information necessary to execute new category strategy and onboard portfolio offering
+ Continually monitors revenue and expenses for product category against established goals on performance of product category and individual products.
+ Manages and optimizes category assortment planning and review processes, creating the most advantageous mix and positioning of products in the category.
+ Attends conferences and other industry events to stay abreast of market developments, liaise with suppliers, and assess new merchandising and supplier opportunities.
**_Qualifications_**
+ 8-12 years of experience, preferred
+ Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
+ Experience working in the realm of cardiometabolic health preferred
+ Experience and understanding of direct-to-consumer retail service offerings through cash pay and reimbursed (insurance covered) channels preferred
+ Experience managing external partnerships, key accounts, or strategic customer relationships in healthcare industry preferred
**_What is expected of you and others at this level_**
+ Leads sourcing negotiations and full portfolio management for supplies and technologies used in the treatment of cardiometabolic health, DTC and B2B landscapes through pharmacy, DME and cash pay channels.
+ Applies advanced knowledge and understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to manage a wide variety of projects
+ Works regularly internally and externally with all levels of organization, across all functions, from operations to executive leadership
+ Participates in the development of policies and procedures to achieve specific goals
+ Recommends new practices, processes, metrics, or models
+ Works on or may lead complex projects of large scope
+ Provides solutions which may set precedent
+ Independently determines method for completion of new projects
+ Receives guidance on overall project objectives
+ Acts as a mentor to less experienced colleagues
**Anticipated salary range:** $103,500 - $147,900
