Typically reporting to the Channel System Engineering Manager, you'll be working alongside some of the most skilled field engineers in the industry. In collaboration with our Product Management and Software Development teams, you will play a pivotal role in steering product developments, offerings, and strategic direction to best serve our customers and prospects. What You’ll Do:
In this role, you will work closely with our Channel Development Managers to provide pre-sales technical systems engineering support for our enterprise and commercial customers in the area.
Own the pre and post-sales technical relationship with the assigned channel partnersBuild and maintain a deep, sound knowledge of all Arista technologies, in order to support and help in the enablement of strategic partnersFacilitate technical education on Arista’s products, differentiators, solutions, and demosEngage with key partners to develop proficiencies in delivering services around Arista’s solution setParticipate in the execution of Proof of Concepts (POCs)Alignment to channel opportunitiesExecute technical Quarterly Business ReviewsSupport onsite requirements at the channel partnerRespond to inbound questions from the channelPresent technical content to worldwide organizations both virtually and in personCreate technical marketing materials for the global channel organizationPartner with our Channel sales team, you will analyze the Arista portfolio, propose and run initiatives and activities to maximize the impact of our partner's capabilitiesTravel expectations are approximately 30%Qualifications8+ years of experience in L2/L3 networking design and implementation with a focus on Data Center, Campus, and Wi-Fi solutions. Network Industry Certification preferred such as ACE-L4, ACE-L6, ACE-L7, and others.Expert-level experience with routing and switching, including L2/L3 protocols, as well as overlay technologies such as VxLAN.Current hands-on experience in designing highly scalable leaf-spine network architectures.Proven work experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Pre-Sales SE, or Network Consulting Engineer is preferred.Expert knowledge in Ethernet, RSTP/MSTP, VLANs, IP Routing, TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, eBGP, VxLAN, Multicast, Spanning Tree, and QoS.Solid understanding and knowledge of how to build successful relationships between an equipment manufacturer and a channel partner or resellerGood interpersonal skills, customer relations skills, and problem management skills, with the ability to stay calm and professional under pressure while working to strict deadlinesExperience creating technical material (slides, white papers, battle cards, solution guides, etc)Solid knowledge of competitive products, solutions, and servicesPrevious experience building network automation using Python and Ansible desiredKnowledge of competitive products, solutions, and servicesStrong presentation and selling skillsBilingual in English and French is preferred but not required.BS/CS/CE technical degree preferred
