We have an exciting opportunity for a CHAPEA Console Specialist - Weekend First Shift (7am-3pm) to join the team. \n
The CHAPEA Console Specialist - Weekend First Shift will:\n\nContribute to the success of the mission byproviding 24\/7 mission control support for NASA's groundbreaking CHAPEA 1-year Mars surface mission analog study.\nBecome a guardian of safety by successfully completing a rigorous training and skill certification process and performing real-time evaluations of conditions within the Mars analog habitat to ensure the well-being of the crew and the integrity of the facility.\nStay ahead of the curve by maintaining constant situational awareness of crew activities and habitat functions to proactively address potential safety concerns.\nKeep the mission on track by providing daily status reports to the mission operations lead, highlighting key progress, and identifying any emerging issues.\nMaintain a seamless flow of information by meticulously documenting operational logs\/notes,checklists and effectively sharing critical information across all shifts.\nEnsure a smooth transition by conducting thorough and concise shift handovers, leveraging logs, notes, and reports to ensure continuity of operations.\nCollaborate effectively by participating in daily status meetings and fostering a strong professional relationship with the NASA customer and other NASA support contractors.\nEmbrace the challenge of working 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift operations, with rotating shifts throughout the year-long analog mission.\nBe a valuable contributor by performing other duties as assigned.\n\n \n
