Chaplain | Plaza Cancer Center

CentraCare is looking for a qualified Chaplain to serve the needs of our patients in the Cancer Center. The role of the Chaplain is to minister to the spiritual and religious needs of the entire hospital community: patients and their families, employees, medical personnel, and other members of the Spiritual Care Department, regardless of age, color, religion, sex, or sexual preference. You'll work in concert with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healing professions to provide for the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of patients, families, and staff. Particular care given to those in special need and distress in their cancer process via visits in the clinic or phone calls.

This role will be based at the St. Cloud Hospital and rotate to the Cancer Center at the Plaza with other Chaplains. The role could be solely based at the Cancer Center.

Schedule:

Part-time | 32 hours every two weeks | St. Cloud Day shift | Working hours between 8am-5pm | Various shifts Monday through Friday

Pay and Benefits:

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with major in theology/religion, counseling, the humanities, healthcare, education and two units of ACPE Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE), OR Master’s degree with focus in theology/religion, counseling, humanities, healthcare, or education. and one unit of ACPE Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE).  Will need four units of CPE completed within three years.  Familiarity and comfort with variety of sacred texts as well as spiritual and value orienting systems of diverse individuals. 1 year of proven experience within a team ministry. Continuing education to update professional skills and knowledge by participation in training programs, seminars, and workshops.  Documentation attesting to skills in working with adults, children, and adolescents. Membership and certification in National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC) or Association of Professional Chaplains (APC) preferred.
