Responsibilities
Provides spiritual support for inpatients, outpatients, relatives of patients, and staff members.Empathizes and prays with the ill, the dying patients, and their families.Provides for follow-up visits as needed.Confers with medical and nursing staff in regards to the spiritual needs of patients.Partners with the broader community to meet spiritual and emotional needs.Demonstrates sensitivity to the sacramental and spiritual needs of patients, families, staff, and community.
Qualifications
Master’s Degree, or equivalent, in a theological discipline such as theology, pastoral ministry, or related field.Successful completion of at least four units of approved Clinical Pastoral Education.  Three years pastoral experience, and at least one year experience in a health care settingNACC Certification of Standing/Affiliation with NACC - CHAPLAIN, or APC board certified chaplain – BCC-APC.
