Chaplain Associate- PER DIEM (GCMC)
Job Summary

Offers spiritual and emotional support directly to patients and their families, caregivers, and team members. Responsible for assisting with organization of daily activities as assigned.

Job Duties Functions as a member of the team by attending interdisciplinary team conference, support meetings, and other meetings as appropriateAssesses each patient, family member, and caregiver for spiritual needs and concerns in consultation with other team membersProvides direct chaplaincy services (when accepted) to patients, family members, and caregivers of different philosophies and religious perspectivesConsults, if requested by patient or family, the patient’s clergy of choice and advises them on admissionDocuments all visits and phone calls in the electronic medical record within an appropriate time frameProvides consultation, counsel, and support to other team members as appropriateAssists with training programs and in-service education as requested


Work is typically performed in a clinical environment. Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures. Hours:  8 or 12 shifts
