Chaplain Series 0060 There is no OPM qualification standard for this series. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year at the next lower grade of GS-09 or equivalent in the Federal Service. RECRUITMENT KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Knowledge of Scripture, teachings of the Roman Catholic faith and Canon Law. Knowledge of the role of Catholic clergy in a diverse and pluralistic military religious environment. Ability to oversee a comprehensive Catholic religious education program serving adults and children. Ability to assist in traumatic stress response counseling, pastoral crisis intervention and suicide prevention counseling. Ability to work well with chaplains and religious affairs airmen in an ecumenical/interfaith setting.
