plans coordinates and provides care and counseling according to the spiritual and religious needs of patients family members and friends Hospital staff and volunteers The Chaplain serves as the Hospitalrsquos representative to the religious community and to other appropriate entities and demonstrates behavior consistent with the mission of Hartford HealthCare The Chaplain shall be available accredited institution in a related field Master of Divinity or a Master of Theology from a recognized seminary divinity school or college of theology preferredExperience One year experience as a chaplain in a recognized setting A minimum of three years of pastoral care experience as a Chaplain is preferred of which two years should be in a hospital settingLicensure Certification Registration Four units of Clinical Pastoral Education required Ordained or commissioned for ministry by a recognized faith group or denomination and is in good standing with hisher religiousspiritual community preferred Board Certification by Association of Professional Chaplains or recognized organization preferred Knowledge Skills and Ability Requirementsbull Excellent communication skillsbull Competency in electronic medical record documentation with intermediate skills in Microsoft Officebull Interpersonal skills needed to work with distressed and anxious patients families and employeesbull
