Job Summary: The Chaplaincy Internship position serves as an essential part of maintaining Moore's culture of care towards its partners helping them through difficult situations using Biblical principles. The goal for the internship is for the intern to gain valuable real-world work experience in their desired career path, while giving Moore's additional support within operations.\n

Responsibilities:\n\nWorking directly with our Chaplain on any issues that our partners face\nAssist Chaplain with any administrative tasks\nInteract respectfully and productively with all types of people regardless of social or economic status\nCreate a safe and confidential atmosphere for sharing personal information\nSpeak\/pray publicly when required\nPrepare presentation for Leadership at the completion of the internship\n\n
Requirements:\n\nUndergraduate student pursuing a degree in Chaplaincy, Biblical Education, Biblical Counseling, and\/or Christian Leadership & Management\nPassion for the Gospel and people with a heart for working with people through difficult situations\nProficiency in applying Biblical principles to one-on-one personal care, support, and encouragement\nWorking knowledge base of mental health challenges (i.e., anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation) and tools to help navigate\nFamiliarity with various substance abuse issues and recovery paths\nWillingness to be on-call after hours\nExcellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nAbility to work independently while maintaining a team-first mindset\nDesire to learn and grow\nTransportation and ability to commute to the Altavista Offices and our job sites\nGreat sense of humor\n\n
