Job Overview

The team is taking an active part in testing ING’s IT key controls to ensure compliance with the Minimum Standards covered by the Non-Financial Risk Framework.The team checks whether controls are working effectively to mitigate IT Risk to an acceptable level (within the Bank’s risk appetite).As a Lead Business Control, you will be leading and managing a team that supports IT General Controls testing.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a team who executes Test of Effectiveness on IT key controls (ITGC’s)Ensures that the teams are doing the right Service Delivery i.e. are competent and focused on the right priorities to achieve their goalsIs taking a leadership role, moving strategic priorities to executable plans and action;Primary responsibility is to facilitate, support, and motivate your employeesCreate high–performing teams and remove impediments; stimulate interaction between people within and outside your domainResponsible for Continuous Improvement of processes, services, and administration within your teamAct as a role model while safeguarding our ING values.

Key Capabilities/Experience

Expertise in developing high – performing teams and empowering teams to act autonomously and holding them accountableHas strong communication skills and (international) stakeholder management skillsHas relevant experience in (complex) Project Management; proven track record in continuous improvement and change managementHas the ability to display flexibility to teams and adapt plans, approach, and behavior to the different needs, cultures, and situationsExperience with steering on outputCan manage multiple business partners and used to work with tight deadlines. ;Is result-driven and able to push things forward in a persistent way;Is well organized, pro-active, and hands-on to deliver high-quality output and services ;Is analytical, autonomous, adaptive, and flexible to turn problems into workable solutions.Have exposure to communicating with stakeholders with different cultural backgroundsHas proven verbal and written communication skills in English;At least 6 years’ experience in IT risk management and testing including leadership roles and responsibilities.Experience in SOX testing on IT General controls is a preferencePreferably CISA and CRISC certified

Minimum Qualifications

Hands-on, pro-active advise, deliver solutions and answers, explain weaknesses and find solutions to overcome themBeing able to overcome resistance, work in short sprints (Agile), work closely with diversity of teamsStrong interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills are vital to this role. Testers will have frequent interactions with stakeholders. The individual needs to be capable and credible in these situations, as well as with all other stakeholders throughout the business.Has continuous improvement mindset and is willing to perform process improvementsComfortable with doing tasks outside normal job responsibilities
