Lead teams focused on technology initiatives for our Defined Contribution (retirement savings) Recordkeeping platform. Curate a positive and engaging organizational environment to ensure the stability, scalability and quality of our current recordkeeping platform while supporting our modernization journey.

The Expertise You Have

Strong leadership skills, passionate about engineering excellence, empowerment of individuals/team, innovation, collaboration and eager to learn and teach Strong technical, analytical and code development expertise in COBOL, CICS, DB2, VSAM  Excellent communication capabilities, experience in negotiation and influence Experience with people management, resource planning and allocation within and across organizations 10+ years of mainframe software development experience in critical, enterprise-wide, financial applications Deep knowledge in the design, deploy, test and support of software releases into batch and online production environments Experience in Cloud/Distributed Technologies (nice to have/eager to learn)

Your Responsibilities

Player/Coach role to actively craft and nurture an innovative team culture based on Fidelity and agile leadership behaviors Design, develop and test high quality custom software solutions Continuously develop and maintain outstanding chapter expertise and talent to support the squads and product areas with the right level of knowledge and skills Share knowledge and expertise within and outside of the chapter – ensuring the “how” of the work performed is aligned with established road maps and guardrails. Identify and fulfill training and hiring needs to help the squads and product areas join deliver their goals. Collaborate with other chapter leads to ensure a common vision and proactive communication, both, horizontally and vertically. Provide technical direction to continuously enhance and modernize our applications Dynamic and enthusiastic presence with both technical and business teams to bring clarity to challenges and direction for project coordination. Confidence to think and act strategically, share innovative insights, and offer creative solutions to deliver exceptional user experiences Strong interpersonal and organizational skills coupled with effective and concise written and verbal communication skills
