Charge Nurse, Outpatient Cardiovascular, OPCV, Baptist Health Floyd
Part Time, Days 6a-6p
Where You'll Be:
Outpatient Cardiovascular (OPCV) is a 17-bed unit specializing in the care of pre and post cardiac/vascular patients having heart catheterizations, electrophysiology studies with catheter/pulmonary vein ablations, pulmonary embolism thrombectomies, device implantations, and other cardiovascular procedures.
What You'll Do:
The Charge Nurse, CRN, is responsible for acting as a resource Nurse for the department. This is an entry-level leadership position responsible for the coordination of care. The Charge Nurse CRN will provide leadership to the staff members of the unit in the area of patient care. The Charge Nurse will work alongside the team and provide direct patient care while determining needed staffing fluctuations during shifts, responding to departmental concerns, address immediate staff issues and coordinate patient flow. The CRN is also responsible for attending Charge Nurse professional development opportunities that are provided as well as maintaining port competency per policy to include accessing and de-accessing.
What You'll Need:
Active RN license
Associate or Bachelor Degree in Nursing
BLS for Healthcare Provider (Will provide training)
ACLS required within 12 months of hire (Wil provide training)
One year of nursing experience (Required)
