Job Summary: Assists the Nurse Manager with managing the daily operations of assigned nursing areas and provides direct patient care. Makes administrative decisions when the manager is not available.

Role: Charge Registered Nurse (RN)

What You'll Do:

Supervises and mentors nursing and support staff during assigned shifts.Determines staffing level and assignments based on staff availability, staff abilities, census, and patient acuity.Provides direct patient care.Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and identify any issues that affect desired patient outcomes.Responds to complaints about patient care and related services, and manage through established channels.Performs responsibility of the underlying job, including entering orders, performing admissions or discharges, and coordinating transfers.Ensures staff has the necessary equipment and supplies to provide safe and effective patient care.

Your Qualifications:

Possess a current State of Maine RN license or the ability to obtain one promptlyDemonstrate the ability to seek out resources independently and work collaboratively within a teamPrevious RN experience, preferredStrong communication and critical thinking skills are essential for this role.
