Charter Bus Assistant

Under the direction of Transportation Leadership, the Charter Bussing Assistant facilitates the successful daily operation of the Yaamava’ Resort & Casino Customer Bussing department by utilizing proficiency and accuracy in the counting of all arriving Charters and Bussing guests; providing consistent, excellent service to all guests. Answers guest concerns that pertain to bussing transportation services, general casino inquiries, and assists Transportation Leadership with day-to-day job tasks as assigned to expedite the effective operation of the Customer Bussing department.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Completes daily assigned tasks to facilitate the arrival of guests which includes maintaining arrival manifests. Completes arrival and departure paperwork, welcomes the guests upon arrival and farewells upon departures, checking-in guests with company-based handheld devices, and answer guest questions either in-person or over the phone with utmost professionalism.  

2. Monitors vendor Department of Transportation (DOT) and Public Utility Commission (PUC) compliance to ensure successful transportation to and from Yaamava’ Resort & Casino.  Maintains knowledge on bus promotions, promotional fliers, concerns and general information for the successful implementation of department service goals.

3. Maintains a bi-weekly list that tracks individual tasks, duties, and training classes and programs offered by the tribe through the Human Resources Department as well as additional safety training provided by Risk Management to facilitate a self-development mindset.  Provides completed task list to the immediate supervisor for review and evaluation purposes.

4. Issues and safeguards all incentives coupons that are issued to Yaamava’ Resort & Casino Customer Bussing guests; ensures all incentives are accounted for throughout each shift; tracks accurate issuance and return of each incentive while providing complete accountability.

5. Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.

Education/Experience/Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum one (1) year of casino operations experience preferred. Minimum one (1) year of charter bus experience preferred. Minimum one (1) year of customer service experience preferred. Certificates/Licenses/RegistrationsAt the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
