Position Overview Chassis Engineering Intern – Summer 2025 We’re International. We build International trucks and engines and IC Bus® school and commercial buses, as well as develop Fleetrite aftermarket parts. Our Chassis team is dedicated to innovation, quality, and sustainability. We are looking for a motivated and talented Chassis Engineering Intern to join our dynamic team. About the Intern Program 12 week program with start dates on: May 12 or 19 or June 2 40 hours per week Must graduate between December 2025 - May 2027 Responsibilities Assist in the design and development of chassis components and systems for commercial trucks Support the engineering team in creating and updating CAD models and drawings Conduct research and analysis on materials, manufacturing processes, and industry standards Participate in prototype testing and validation activities Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, and supply chain, to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability Prepare technical reports and documentation Minimum Requirements Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. International Motors does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B or F-1 status) Desired Skills Minimum required cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., NX, CATIA, or AutoCAD) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Basic understanding of vehicle dynamics and chassis systems is a plus Previous internship or project experience in automotive engineering is preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Critical thinking and problem solving Previous internships or work experience is a plus Ability to work independently Benefits and Compensation The expected compensation hourly pay ranges for hires into our 2025 campus intern openings is $24 - $38/hour.
