Road & Rail Services Terminal Manager Location: Chattanooga, TN Job Summary: We are seeking a strong and dedicated leader to manage our intermodal terminal operations in Chattanooga, TN. This role oversees all transloading operations and day-to-day activities at the site, ensuring operations run efficiently, safely, and in line with company standards. As the Terminal Manager, you will lead a small but dynamic team of loaders and logistics coordinators, driving performance and fostering a culture of safety and accountability. This position requires someone with a hands-on approach, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to achieving operational excellence. About the Intermodal Terminal: Our Chattanooga facility plays a vital role in connecting different modes of transportation, ensuring that goods move seamlessly across the supply chain. The terminal focuses on transloading operations, where materials are efficiently transferred between railcars, trucks, and other forms of transport. This dynamic environment requires careful coordination, strict adherence to safety standards, and effective team management. As the Terminal Manager, you will be instrumental in maintaining the terminal's reputation for reliability and service excellence. Responsibilities: + Oversee the overall performance of the terminal, ensuring financial and productivity goals are met or exceeded. + Coordinate and manage transloading operations to ensure seamless movement of goods. + Ensure compliance with all OSHA, EPA, FRA, DOT, customer, and company policies. + Provide training and ongoing development for loaders and logistics coordinators to enhance skills and maintain safety. + Monitor and enforce company policies, quality standards, and operational procedures. + Address operational challenges proactively, implementing solutions to optimize performance. Requirements: 2+ years of management experience, including P&L responsibility. Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage teams effectively. Experience in transloading or logistics operations preferred. Hazmat handling experience is a plus. Must meet the company's minimum qualifications for employment. Flexibility to work weekends or holidays as required by customer needs.
