**Overview**
SOSi is seeking a Chef for our current contract located on Camp Taji, Iraq.
**Essential Job Duties**
+ Overall responsibility for daily operations in the kitchen.
+ Maintaining or raising the profit margins on food.
+ Managing ,training and leading the brigade of cooks.
+ Having excellent cooking skills.
+ An understanding of produce and ingredients.
+ The ability to write menus that are both creative and profitable.
+ Holds health and safety and food hygiene awareness.
+ Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standard.
+ Ensure that the staff maintain good hygiene and safety standards.
+ Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
**Minimum Requirements**
+ High School Diploma or equivalent.
+ Minimum one (1) year of experience in full service or institutional food service environment.
+ Excellent English communication skills and ability to interact effectively with customers and other personnel.
+ Knowledge of food service and sanitation standards.
+ Excellent knife skills for food preparation.
+ Ability to consistently arrive punctually and contribute to positive dining atmosphere.
+ Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
**Work Environment**
+ Willingness to live and work under environmental and other conditions that may be uncomfortable at times.
+ Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions.
+ Requires periods of non-traditional hours including consecutive nights or weekends when necessary.
+ May require ability to lift/and or move objects or packages of up to 25 lbs.
