About the role:
We are seeking skilled Chef's to join our Patient Food Services team. As a Chef, you will play a vital role in preparing and presenting nutritious and appetising meals for patients, adhering to hospital standards. You will work under the guidance of the Executive Chef to ensure food quality, safety, and hygiene in a healthcare environment. This role requires excellent culinary skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient care through food.
We currently have two full-time positions available. Applicants must have full-time working rights in Australia and the flexibility to work across a 7-day roster.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and assemble food items as directed by the Executive Chef, ensuring high-quality patient meals. Maintain kitchen cleanliness, manage pantry duties, and monitor food storage areas to prevent contamination. Adhere to and monitor food safety standards, including completing HACCP documentation and audits. Operate kitchen equipment safely and ensure its cleanliness and proper maintenance. Work collaboratively with Patient Food Services staff to meet patient dietary needs and preferences.About you:
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and relevant food safety qualifications. Previous experience in a healthcare or hospital kitchen environment. Strong cooking skills with attention to detail in food preparation and presentation. Excellent communication skills and ability to work efficiently in a team setting. Positive attitude with a proactive approach to continuous learning and quality improvement.About us:
