The Site Supervisor’s primary function is to organize and accurately report on the safe and efficient execution of that part of the installation scope (at the point of work) for which it is their responsibility as directed by the Senior Site Supervisor/ Team Leader working collaboratively with the Site Manager.
The Site Supervisor is the first point of contact and escalation for subcontractors working on behalf of Dematic and it is their responsibility to ensure that appropriate and optimal site conditions are established and maintained; facilitating right first time zero defects installation at the required rate of progress as agreed in the detailed plan.
The Site Supervisor can additionally function as:
Site manager for non-complex projects (classification C, D)Site manager as a temporary replacement for projects (classification A, B, C, D)Tasks and Qualifications:Key Responsibilities:
Educates subcontractor team in developing safety knowledge and hazard perception and encouraging the site team to engage in positive safety conversations and capturing the details of them by way of Behavioural based safety observations. Acts as a positive role model for site safety, a One Dematic safety culture, and right first-time installationMonitors adherence to RAMS by installers and offers effective supervision where there is increased risk. Producing timely reports in cloud-based site reporting tools (Gensuite) consistently, to a high standard on each agreed time period worked with accuracy, evidence-based content, and with relevance on progress and any events of noteOrganises and supervises on-site installation activities according to discipline and/ or area driving safety & quality compliance on site throughout delivery lifecycle. Performs regular quality checks on installation and related processes throughout project lifecycle and uses the QMS cloud-based reporting tool for capturing quality incidents.Contributes proactively in collaboration with the Site Manager drafting the Site Installation Plan.Acts as the first point of contact on site for assistance and resolution in safety/technical related enquiries. Works collaboratively across various business functions i.e. Engineering and Project Management.Makes recommendations, identifies opportunities to optimize production, and undertakes improvement initiatives on projects, working closely with various disciplines on site.Proactively identifies and reports energy and resource waste-streams and implements onsite improvements to reduce and minimize wasteFollows ONE DEMATIC standardRequirements:
Minimum of 3+ years industry relevant experience including supervising at a similar grade.Self-driven and a natural desire to progress within Dematic maintaining high personal standards/ discipline.Experience with driving and managing sub-contractors and ability to communicate effectively.Recognized and accredited apprenticeship in a mechanical/ electrical discipline or market specific equivalent.Knowledge of market specific statutory regulations and standardsSkilled with Microsoft OfficeQualified First Aider (desirable)Hold internationally recognised safety accreditation e.g. NEBOSH/ IOSH certificatePersonal Competencies:
