About the role

The Chef de Partie supervises and oversees the preparation and production of  breakfast, lunch, and dinner food items according to guest orders and banquet event orders; trains, motivates, and coaches kitchen employees to ensure cultural and core standards are met.

What you will do

•    Directly supervise an average of 5 – 8 kitchen employees per shift, monitoring performance. Direct and establish daily operational procedures for employees in their daily responsibilities.

•    Assist with daily pre-shift meetings, weekly management meetings, and monthly staff meetings.

•    Execute service duties and develop and execute training initiatives and procedures.

•    Complete purchase requisition in line with approved budget and budgeted food cost.

•    Assign and coordinate daily production and prep work for staff to complete. Ensure mise en place and daily checklist items are completed.

•    Inspect and maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, organization, and working condition of the service areas and workstations.

•    Assist with training new employee and existing team. Assist manager with scheduling.

What you bring

•    At least 3-5 years of professional cooking experience, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort. Advanced culinary knowledge.

•    Ability to operate, maintain, and properly clean deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven, steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron, and flat top grill.

•    Specialized skill with strong leadership qualities.

•    Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills.

•    Solid knife skills.

•    Strong time management skills: ability to multi-task, set priorities, and adjust to changing conditions. Willing to work in a fast-paced environment.

•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work closely with other departments and communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and guests.

•    Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 70 lbs.

•     Full-Time

•     This position requires the flexibility to work a diverse schedule encompassing days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
