Sodexo is seeking a Chef Manager for a Corporate Services account which is part of a Global strategic account portfolio located in Rockville, MD. This candidate will report directly into a General Manager and directly supervise 4 Sodexo frontline(hourly) employees.  This candidate will manage the main cafeteria, which serves as a commissary kitchen for one onsite unit. Services to include retail, catering, and micro market oversight.  We are looking for a strong culinarian with Front of the House and Back of the House skills, strong financial acumen, multi-site experience, and catering experience.

 

***The salary range is between $65,000-$70,000 annually, based on experience. ***

 

We are looking for a high-level Chef Manager who will:

 

manage the daily food production including production planning and controls, hands on food production ensure Sodexo Culinary Standards including recipe compliance and food qualitymanage food costing, controls and compliancedevelop menus and manage inventoryhave high expectations for customer service and quality of foodhave the ability and willingness to develop and train frontline employeeshave a passion for food and innovationknowledge of Sodexo Food Management System (FMS) is preferred.

The ideal candidate has:

a strong culinary background, with the demonstrated ability to stay current with new culinary trendspassion for foodexcellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to maintain the highest of standards and implements company policiesprevious experience working in a corporate facility; andstrong management skillsstrong knowledge of financials (labor and materials cost) What We Offer

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
