Job Description

Provide technical support for our Chemical Solutions and Monitoring (CSM) product line, including metering pumps, controllers, and monitoring systems, working with both internal sales teams and external customers across heavy and light industrial sectors to ensure optimal application performance. OR Alternatively We are seeking a proven, high-energy and self-motivated Equipment Specialist/Service Technician to support Chemical Solutions and Monitoring (CMS) business, sales teams and end customers. The role entails supporting our process chemical monitoring & control product line. This product group includes standard metering feed pumps, proprietary and third-party controllers, and monitoring systems related to other associated process control equipment for both heavy and light industry applications.

Duties & Responsibilities 
● Proactively coordinating with CSM sales team team to optimize applications or resolve service calls issues
in a timely manner.
● Conduct end customer site scope-outs/audits to assist sales teams in technical review and
recommendations while delineating roles and responsibilities for any site work to all associated parties.
● Commissioning and configuring provided equipment, program controllers, then validating dynamic Chemical
feed equipment operation on startup by calibration, verification, in the safest manner possible and provide
ongoing hardware/software support.
● Lead and perform electrical and mechanical installation of components required for final tie-ins to
applications in the field, while adhering to plant and company environmental, health and safety concerns.
● Troubleshoot hardware and software problems via remote support technologies or at customer locations.
Resolving issues by repairing and/or calibrating instruments in accordance with designated O&M manual.
● Responsible for complying with all safety, health, environmental policies and procedures relevant to the
position.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 
● Instrumentation/Electronics background, with mechanical skills,
● Self-motivated, ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal oversight, while demonstrating
significant problem-solving abilities with an unfailing dedication to deadlines and commitments.
● Strong technical, cognitive ability to logically troubleshoot and resolve issues.
● Demonstrate continuous clear communication skills to efficiently support the service process internally while
also providing communications to the end customer.
● Proven ability to speak effectively regarding technical equipment and process before groups, customers,
clients, and other employees within the organization.
● General knowledge of electrical equipment, chemistry and safety. Visual, manual dexterity to competently
service instruments and electrical equipment. Ability to learn applicable company procedures within a
reasonable time from start of employment.
● Ability to work in multiple environments, indoor/outdoor in variety of industries, including Class 1 div 2
hazard classifications.
● Computer proficiency is required with at a minimum, word processing and spreadsheets, and basic data
base knowledge.

Qualifications

Education & Experience Required:
● Technical degree/diploma in Electrical, Electronic Technology, Instrumentation and Electronics, Mechanical Engineering or other technical discipline
● Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in Instrumentation and Electronics (I&E), or plant operations/maintenance experience, OR at least 2 years of relevant training (college, military, technical/vocational school), in Instrumentation and Electronics, working with 120VAC and low voltage, analog and digital communication, installation and troubleshooting.
● Mechanical aptitude for installations, mounting equipment, plumbing, conduit, tubing in PVC, SS, and copper.

Preferred (if applicable):

Familiarity of digital communications including MODBUS, OPC, ProfiNet, networking, cellular communications.Understanding of Water Treatment processes, controls and programming, and chemical applicationsFundamental computer programming skills, Boolean and comparative logic.Ability to make good business decisions based on risk reward analysis and Suez’s business objectives
