Primary Purpose of Position:

 

The Chemical Business Coordinator Process Safety Management (PSM) ensures compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHAs) PSM and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Risk Management Program (RMP) standards for Goodyear's four Chemical plants. This positions primary activities include oversight of the Mechanical Integrity Inspection Program, coordination of process hazard evaluations, participation in the management of the change process, compliance/audit responsibility for PSM procedures and collaboration with other functional teams (at each Chemical plant) to ensure action plans are complete/on schedule.

 

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversee compliance requirements of OSHA's PSM and EPA RMP. Coordinate the Mechanical Integrity Inspection Program to maintain compliance with PSM regulations and ensure PSM compliance audits for all Chemical Plants. Track/Assist plants in completing PSM-related corrective actions.   Coordinate process hazard evaluations and facility siting study programs.  Actively participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis. Maintain PSM/RMP key performance indicators and support the training of PSM team leaders (as necessary). 

 

Education:

Required:  Bachelors degree in Engineering 
Preferred: Masters Degree in Engineering and / or Professional Engineer's license, API 510/570, API 653

 

Experience:

4 or more years of experience in experience in a petrochemical or manufacturing environment 3 or more years of (hands-on) experience in Process Safety Management Background in the mechanical integrity element of Process Safety Management

  

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Working knowledge of recognized/generally accepted good engineering practices - Preferably API, NFPA, OSHA, ASME and ANSI Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements (OSHA, EPA, etc.) Experience in leading process hazard analysis (PHA) reviews using PHA-Pro - Desired
