Facilitates family programming; Conducts individual therapy sessions and serves as primary therapist. Conducts assessments, evaluations, prepares treatment plans, presents cases in case staffing, and periodically re-evaluates client progress and supervises some sessions as assigned;Maintains contact with referral sources and other providers in accordance with New York State and Federal confidentiality regulations. Provides specific information to public groups and inquiries regarding treatment services available;Provide supervision to staff members employed by the unit with the assistance of the Program Supervisor or other CASAC. Maybe required to fill the duties of a Supervising Counselor in his or her absence. Seeks supervision to assure that all incidents are investigated and corrective action taken;Must be able to demonstrate clinical skills appropriate to clinical setting;1. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to adolescent, adult and geriatric persons. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principals of growth and development over the life span. Must possess the ability to assess data reflective of patient’s status. Must interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each client’s requirements relative to their age and specific needs, and provide the care needed as described in the department’s policies and procedures;2.
